Panorex

Panorex

A Panorex is an imposing piece of imaging machinery that can identify many issues and structures that a typical X-ray cannot. Initially, you will sit in a chair with your chin on a small ledge. Once positioned in the machine, it will rotate around your entire head, taking a 360-degree view of the teeth, head, sinuses, and bones.

Dentists use panorex X-rays to:

  • Diagnose dental problems early.
  • See the position of teeth and bone abnormalities.
  • Identify impacted teeth.
  • Look for jaw disorders, cysts, tumors, or cancer.
  • See the nasal sinuses.

The ability to view the entire structure of your head is very informative to the dentist. It will allow us to see potential problems and ensure that everything functions as it should. The Panorex can view specific structural problems, infections, or asymmetry, among many others.
